The second round of the PGA Championship 2024 concluded with Xander Schauffele shooting 68 and taking a solo lead after 36 holes. He now leads Collin Morikawa by one stroke.
After the conclusion of the second round, the cutline was set at 1-under, and players who finished 68th and tied made it to the weekend.
Among the 16 LIV Golf professionals competing in the 156-player field at Valhalla, only five failed to make the cut. Big names like Phil Mickelson and Jon Rahm missed the cut, alongside David Puig, Andy Ogletree and Adrian Meronk.

1) Bryson DeChambeau
Bryson DeChambeau has been the best performer among the LIV Golf professionals competing at the PGA Championship so far.
DeChambeau began the week with a 3-under 68 and then fired a 6-under 65 on Friday to jump 14 spots to T4 after 36 holes. He's aggregating at 9-under and is just three strokes behind leader Xander Schauffele.
2) Dean Burmester
Dean Burmester carded a 2-under 69 on the opening day at Valhalla. In the second round, he fired a 6-under 65 to make the cut comfortably. He's tied for eighth at eight-under.
3) Brooks Koepka
Defending champion Brooks Koepka has kept him in contention this time too, after he shot 67 and 68 in the first two days to aggregate at 7-under.
4) Lucas Herbert
Lucas Herbert carded 69 and 67 in the two rounds of the PGA Championship 2024 and was just six strokes behind the lead.
5) Cameron Smith
Cameron Smith began his week at Valhalla with a 3-under 68 but carded 1-under 70 in the second round. The Australian star is T29 at 4-under.
6) Patrick Reed
Patrick Reed took good advantage of his late invitation to the PGA Championship 2024 as he made the cut at the second straight major this season.
Reed carded 2-under 69 on Thursday, May 16, but slipped nine spots to T41 after posting 1-under 70 in the second round.
7) Tyrrell Hatton
Tyrrell Hatton continued his good run at the majors and comfortably made the cut after shooting 2-under 69 on Friday. He's aggregating at 2-under after two rounds and is tied for 51st place.
8) Martin Kaymer
Martin Kaymer started his week on a high with a 3-under 68, but his performance dropped on Friday, and he could only post a 1-over 72 in the second round.
However, the German star was able to make the cut after aggregating at 2-under.
9) Dustin Johnson
Dustin Johnson didn't have an ideal start to the PGA Championship 2024, and he posted a 2-over 73 in the opening round. However, he recovered well on Day 2 and fired a 3-under 68 to just get inside the cutline.
10) Joaquin Niemann
Joaquin Niemann also had an identical start to Johnson, and he also made the same recovery by posting 68 on Day 2. This is his fourth successful cut in seven starts at the PGA Championship.
11) Talor Gooch
Talor Gooch was among the LIV golfers who received the invitation to the PGA Championship just a few days before the start. He utilized it well, as scores of 71 and 70 were good enough to get him inside the cutline.
