LIV Golf star Anthony Kim is back in professional golf after he joined LIV Golf as a wildcard and made his first LIV appearance at LIV Golf Jeddah held in March this year. Kim returned to pro golf after 12 years and revealed he had a challenging time because of some poor decisions he made off the field.
Since returning to pro golf, Kim has become active on social media and regularly shares pictures of his practice sessions and family with a caption expressing his gratitude. Recently, the 39-year-old golfer shared pictures with his family on X, (formerly Twitter), and talked about the life lesson he learned from the rehab.
"I learned in REHAB about “resetting” my mind w #gratitude when life gets going fast my #sobriety, family/friends, experiences w my family & support I get everyday from people all around the world. 1% better!!!" Kim wrote.
After quitting pro golf in 2012 due to injury, Anthony Kim took a break from the sport and decided to deal with personal struggles with support from his family. 12 years later, the 2010 Shell Houston winner eventually returned to the sport, joining the LIV Golf tour earlier this year.
Anthony Kim reflects on his 2024 LIV Golf season.
Anthony Kim had a disappointing start to his second stint in pro golf as he finished 56th in the season-long individual championship. During an interview with Rachel Drummond at LIV Golf Dallas, the LIV Golf star reflected on his season and said he was excited and disappointed at the same time.
"I'm kind of torn. I'm excited about what's coming and how I'm progressing, but at the same time, disappointed that I didn't put myself in some better spots," Kim revealed.
Kim said he wished he had a few more tournaments as his game is trending in the right direction and his game progress despite the scores not reflecting it.
"I wish I had a few more tournaments to go. Obviously, I started with two less tournaments than everybody else, but I'm grateful to have had this opportunity, and I'm treading in the right direction. I see the progress of my game, even though the scores haven't shown all that, but I'm definitely making big strides forward," Kim said.
The 2024 LIV Golf season concluded last week, with Ripper GC winning the team championship while Jon Rahm won the individual championship.
Anthony Kim was not part of any team, as he competed the entire season as a wildcard and will probably join a team next season as he revealed his plans during the off-season.
"This off-season, I'm gonna work really hard. I'm definitely playing in Riyadh, and then we'll see about the rest. I have a feeling that I'll be playing against a lot of good players," Kim revealed.
