LIV x PGA Showdown odds: Can Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler beat Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka?

The first-ever LIV x PGA Showdown is set to be played at Shadow Creek in North Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on Tuesday, December 17. In this one-of-a-kind event, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler of the PGA Tour will take on LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka over 18 holes.

The Showdown will be divided into three parts, with six holes played in each format. The first six holes will be played in Fourball (Best Ball). The next six holes will feature the Foursome (Alternate Shot) format followed by the Singles format on the final six holes.

As per the latest odds for the LIV x PGA Showdown, Scheffler and McIlroy are the favorites to win on Tuesday. As per Sportsline, the PGA Tour duo is listed at -148, while the LIV Golf duo of DeChambeau and Koepka are at +122.

Scheffler and McIlroy enter Shadow Creek as the tournament favorites, and their recent performances further strengthen their case. Scottie Scheffler was last seen at the Hero World Challenge, where he successfully defended his title. This marked his ninth win of an extraordinary season, during which he claimed seven official PGA Tour titles and the Olympic gold medal.

Rory McIlroy also had an outstanding season, winning two PGA Tour titles and two DP World Tour events. He capped off the year with a victory at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship, securing the Race to Dubai standings title.

For LIV Golf, Bryson DeChambeau had a phenomenal season, especially in the Majors. He won the US Open, finished runner-up at the PGA Championship, and tied for sixth at the Masters Tournament.

Although Brooks Koepka struggled in the majors, he found success on the LIV Golf circuit, winning the LIV Golf Greenbrier event to become the winningest player on the Saudi-backed tour.
