Logan Olson launched his new putter, the Craft Batch No. 3. This news came one week after TaylorMade acquired the putter maker, who made putters for PGA Tour golfers like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and others. LPGA phenom Nelly Korda also uses Logan Olson products for her tournaments.
The new Batch No. 3 putters were crafted from ‘extensive modal analysis’, and Olson’s creativity and innovation. The new putter has a Flumber’s Neck hosel to provide a better experience with a new look.
The features also include a 303 stainless steel face and an asymmetrical sole to have the weight balance. The loft is around 2.5 degrees with a 70-degree lie angle. There are various leather grip options like the Grip Master, or rubber Golf Pride Pro Only Red Star grips. The clubs are priced at $850 on their official website.
TaylorMade also collaborated with Tiger Woods earlier this year to announce a new apparel line called the Sun Day Red.
Following the collaboration, TaylorMade CEO said:
“We are honored that Tiger has trusted us with expanding our partnership to create an iconic brand led by the greatest athlete in the history of our sport. TaylorMade is proud to launch the Sun Day Red brand with Tiger’s expertise guiding the collaboration with our talented team of designers, marketers and industry leaders.”
The premium brand has limited products as of now and was showcased by the 15-time legendary golfer at the 2024 Genesis Invitational.
Logan Olson shares his thoughts about the collaboration with TaylorMade
Logan Olson shared that he always appreciated TaylorMade as a brand. He added that the feedback he received from golfers about his putters was always beneficial for him.
“I've always appreciated that TaylorMade is a brand that isn't afraid to take risks and try something different. I feel a resemblance to that in my own work and thoughts on approaching new projects. Being able to utilize the feedback of the best players in the world helps push design criteria to a completely different place,” Olson said.
He continued, “I think of it a bit like 'The Matrix' movies – stay with me here on this one…Once you’ve forgotten about the rules that create your reality, or no longer are because ‘that’s how it’s always been done,’ you can really reach beyond and approach some of these problems that people have been working on for so long, from a new light. You can start to move in slow motion…”
The putter maker finished by adding that whenever he accomplished making a putter he started with the intention of making rocket parts, jewelry, or a Swiss watch on the same platform as the putter.
