Rory McIlroy responded wittyly to Bob Does Sports host Roger Berger's Instagram post yesterday sharing his humorous interaction with the Northern Irish golfer. The YouTuber shared a story about meeting McIlroy at a gas station in Jupiter. He called the interaction miserable, saying he met McIlroy without knowing if the four-time Major winner knew about his channel.
Speaking of the interaction, Berger said:
"Who the f*** do I think I am? So I am drowning myself in chicken into a soup because that was a miserable interaction."
McIlroy jumped to the comment section with his witty reply. He commented:
"Can confirm that it was not your best. The Porsche you were driving was nice. Looks like YouTube pays well…."
Bob Does Sports is best known for its golf-related social media content. It has around 920K subscribers on YouTube and has collaborated with several professional golfers, such as Akshay Bhatia, Jon Rahm, and Bryson DeChambeau. While sharing the funny interaction story of Rory McIlroy, Roger Berger also talked about thinking of inviting him, then rejected the idea.
Notably, golfers have become pretty active on social media lately. DeChambeau started his own YouTube channel, while some other players, such as Phil Mickelson, collaborated with YouTubers for videos in 2024. However, McIlroy primarily focuses on his game. He does, however, feature in the Netflix golf docuseries "Full Swing".
