LPGA’s TOTO Japan Classic cut to 54-holes amid Tropical Storm

The 2024 Toto Japan Classic is shortened to 54 holes after play was affected by Tropical Storm Kong-rey. The tournament was affected by poor weather conditions and the third round, scheduled for Saturday, November 2, was postponed to Sunday, November 3.

Moreover, the tournament also shortened to 54 holes from 72 holes, meaning, the Sunday round is the final round of the LPGA Tour event. The 2024 Toto Japan Classic started with its inaugural round on Thursday, October 31, and had its second round on Friday, November 1 as scheduled.

However, the third round was canceled ahead of its start. The LPGA Tour released a statement on the tournament on its X (formerly Twitter) account.

The tournament will now have a finale on Sunday at the Seta Golf Course to determine the winner. While the tee times of the final round are yet to be announced, the LPGA Tour confirmed via a statement that the pairing for the Sunday round will remain the same as that of the Saturday round.
