Ludvig Aberg gives major injury update ahead of FedEx Fall series start

Ludvig Aberg dropped a major injury update ahead of the FedEx Fall series. He revealed that the recent surgery on his torn medial meniscus on his left knee was completed successfully.

The Swedish player uploaded his picture on Instagram where he can be seen sitting at an outdoor cafe in New York City. He is wearing a knee brace on his left leg and donned a smile. He wrote:

"Update! The surgery on my torn medial meniscus went well last week, couple weeks of rehab and rest ahead. Looking forward to be playing soon"

Ludvig Aberg has been dealing with knee issues since May of this year. He pulled out of the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club due to soreness in his left knee. He played the second Major of the year, the PGA Championship, with a knee brace.

Golf Channel's anchor and reporter Todd Lewis later reported that the World No. 5 had a meniscus tear while lifting in the gym during the Memorial Tournament. Ludvig Aberg never opened up about his injuries to the media. When asked about it during the press conference at the Memorial Tournament, he said (via Golf Magic):

"I think that's between me and my doctors. It is what it is. It's between me and my doctors."

Lewis had reported last week that Aberg would be undergoing arthroscopic surgery. He said the 24-year-old would likely 'hit balls 3-4 weeks after the procedure'. Lewis had reported that Aberg would play again on a limited schedule in 2024.
