Ludvig Aberg is drawing some unique inspiration for his first Olympics as a golfer. The Swedish golfer has admitted that he looks up to an American swimmer and a Jamaican sprinter.

They are two of the most iconic athletes to ever compete and would have been in their primes while Aberg was growing up. In that sense, it's unsurprising that the golfer looks up to Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt.

In his pre-tournament press conference, Aberg was asked what it might be like to win an Olympic medal for his country of Sweden. He said:

"Of course, it's difficult to say. Obviously, the Olympics is the Olympics. And I remember watching it growing up. And I remember watching Usain Bolt run the 100 meters and Michael Phelps winning the millions of medals that he's got. So yes it's very cool. I think the experience of representing your country, it comes with a lot of pride." (12:06-12:49)

Aberg hasn't experienced the Olympic experience yet, but he believes it will be a feeling that nothing else compares to. He is looking forward to it:

"I think it's difficult to rank it obviously when you're playing you most want to represent you as well as you can and then obviously represent your country as well as you can."

Aberg is one of the brightest young talents in golf, and he now has the chance to compete at the highest level and potentially earn Sweden some global recognition in the golf game.
