Ludvig Aberg was spotted wearing a fashionable pair of Adidas golf shoes while on the course at the recently concluded Farmers Insurance Open. He wore the newly released Adizero ZG footwear as he competed at the annual professional golf tournament, which took place at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California.
The Adidas spikeless golf shoes that Aberg was sporting were light solid grey and cost $180. They feature a waterproof sprintskin synthetic upper with a lace closure and are also made from a blend of renewable and recycled materials.
Unfortunately for fans who may want to rock the same shoes as the Swedish professional golfer, Adidas’s new Adizero golf shoes will not be available for purchase until January 31. However, Aberg was privileged to rock a pair to the Farmers Insurance Open tournament given his status as a pro golfer.
Ludvig Aberg at the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open
Ludvig Aberg, a 25-year-old golfer, who is still in the early stages of his career, turned pro in 2023. His career achievements include one PGA Tour win from the 2023 RSM Classic and one European Tour win from the 2023 Omega European Masters.
Aberg competed in the Farmers Insurance Open tournament which lasted till January 25. The tournament's second round experienced some unforeseen hiccups along the way. Ferocious winds of over 35 mph caused a 90-minute delay and inhibited several players from finishing the round.
Besides the winds, a brush fire also broke out about four miles away from Torrey Pines, further adding to the distress players were already experiencing.
As a result, several big names missed the cut and made bogeys while battling the winds. However, despite the harsh weather conditions, the Swedish professional golfer assumed the lead in the second round, together with Lanto Griffin.
During the tournament, Aberg’s third shot, aimed at the par-5 18th hole of the south course entered into a greenside bunker. Although the signal was given to mark a suspension due to the falling darkness, Aberg opted to finish out the hole.
For the first time in his career, Ludvig Aberg held a first-round lead. He achieved this feat after braving some really difficult playing conditions during the Farmers Insurance Open. It came as a much-needed relief to him as he was struggling to find the right momentum during the course of play.
