Luke Donald recently mentioned that he was keeping an eye on Seamus Power for the 2025 Ryder Cup, as the latter is set to miss a few events due to health issues. He expressed hope that Power would make a comeback and qualify for Bethpage.

Donald is currently in Newcastle, County Down, Northern Ireland, for the 2024 Irish Open this week. Seamus Power is also competing, but he revealed that he will miss a few DP World Tour events due to a health checkup.

On Thursday, September 12, Donald commented on the possibility of Seamus Power missing the 2025 Ryder Cup.

"I'm keeping an eye on everyone," he said, as per ASAP Sports. "I haven't talked to Seamus that much personally but again it's early days. We only just started the qualification process.
"Spent some time with him before Rome. It was unfortunate with his injury to kick him out he had such a good start to the season from the year before. Hope he can come back and put his name in the hat," he added.
