Max Homa made some wholesome memories at the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open this week with the world's best amateur golfers. The PGA Tour sensation got to play a round with Koa Seymour, who won the 2024 APGA Cisco Junior Series.
Hollywood star Alfonso Ribeiro greeted the young prodigy at the Torrey Pines Course and stated that he had just been speaking of her to Homa. Ribeiro was optimistic that Seymour could beat the TGL star in a round of golf.
After playing the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open Pro-Am, Homa was left inspired by the young golfer's potential.
"I like her demeanor. She's very sweet. Thoughtful. Like, you know, there's a lot of great golf swings, but she seems like she thinks about the game nicely. And she seems like she's aware of her golf swing. So that's always a good sign...You look at the young kids out here [like] Luke Clanton and Nick Dunlap, and then you got people like Koa who make this game look just so easy. So, it's fun to just see the demeanors and how mature they are at such a young age...It's cool that I get a front row seat at the next generation," Max Homa said (via X @PGATOUR).
The foursome at the Farmers Insurance Open Pro-Am comprised of Homa, Seymour, Ribeiro, and golf trick shot artist and influencer Tisha Alyn. The up-and-coming amateur and Alyn took on the Hollywood star and PGA Tour sensation in a friendly competition.
Homa, who was beyond pleased with Seymour's skills, offered her an invitation to play the Max Homa Toyota Tour Cup after looking at her incredible promise. Here's what Koa Seymour had to say about the day (via X @PGATOUR):
"Super excited to play with Max. I couldn't be more grateful than I am right now. I love our group...Opportunities like this, playing, being able to play in the Farmers Insurance, that's honestly pushing me to be better and to know I could be here one day. Definitely picked his brain a lot and just super excited for our relationship that we'll build."

How did Max Homa perform at the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open?
Max Homa played the first round of the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open at the Torrey Pines South Course. He began the round with a triple bogey 7 on the par 4 first hole and carded in a bogey on the 4th hole and a double bogey 6 on the 5th hole.
However, he went on to battle it out for an incredible eagle on the par 5 6th hole. Homa ended the first round with a five-over par 77 score. He took on the North Course for the second round. Thursday saw the PGA Tour star's struggles continue with four bogeys in the first nine holes.
He withdrew from the tournament with just three holes left to be played. His withdrawal from the tournament came around when the Farmers Insurance Open suspended play due to high winds.
As the projected cut like was set at one over par at the time, chances of Max Homa making the cut were very low.
