Matthieu Pavon has responded to Mike Lorenzo Vera's "a huge pair of ba**s" comment on him. The 31-year-old Frenchman is currently competing in the US Open 2024 and aiming to win his second title of the year at Pinehurst No.2 in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

In April, European Tour star Mike Lorenzo Vera talked about Pavon's game. He said (via Golf.com):

"He's very good at golf, and he makes the good decisions. And he has a huge pair of ba**s."

In the post-round press conference at US Open 2024, Pavon was reminded of Vera's comment and asked if that is how the French player would describe his own game. Pavon said (via Ten Golf):

"The thing is I don't know if thing is that I have a big pair. It's just that I'm not scared about taking the shots. I never been scared about taking the shots. So that's the thing this is why I think we are a great team with my caddy because Woody's (Sherwood) really holding me." (6:42-6:57)

Matthieu Pavon is being accompanied by his caddie Mark Sherwood. Pavon partnered with Sherwood in September 2023. Since then, the duo has won two titles, the Spanish Open and the Farmers Insurance Open. He further said:

"I think if I was playing probably alone this week I would have missed the cut by a lot of shots. But we have a game plan. Some holes we just play short of the green and give up like a chance with a uphill like type of shot. And if I have to take one shot tomorrow to try to win the tournament, you can be sure that I'll try to take it," Pavon added.
