Max Homa will be seen in action at the upcoming TGL this week. He is a part of the Jupiter Links Golf Club along with Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner, and host Tiger Woods.

TGL has been one of the most awaited events in golf. It has been in the works for quite some time and will finally go on floors on Tuesday, January 7th.

However, events sometimes don't match the anticipation they built prior, if 'The Showdown' debacle was any proof. So, it is quite natural for fans to doubt whether TGL will live up to the claims that have been made. Recently, a fan raised a similar doubt on X but Homa was quick to address it and defend the upcoming league.

The American golfer also admitted he had similar feelings before going to the customized indoor arena in Palm Beach. He commended the organizers for thinking about "everything" and hoped for a positive launch. Homa wrote on X:

"I’ve seen this a lot. To be honest I thought this too until I went to the arena. It blew my mind. I’m never trusting of how it will come off on tv cuz well, u know. But in person it will be one of the coolest things going. Hopefully it translates cuz they’ve thought of everything."

The first TGL match will be played between the New York Golf Club and The Bay Golf Club with odds favoring the former.

Promoted as an infusion of technology and live-action golf, TGL has been touted to be a spectacle.

An indoor arena was specially built for this purpose. The arena features a turntable playing area that will keep changing holes and bunkers. This would challenge the players to experiment with different shot angles.

TGL will also have a massive simulator screen, said to be 20 times larger than an average golf simulator. While the golfers will tee off from real grass boxes, they will play on the simulator until they are 50 yards within reach of the hole. Then they will enter the TGL GreenZone and play the actual holes.

All the competitors will be given mics and will play on a clock. The debut season will have six teams, categorized by cities, with top players like Billy Horschel, Justin Thomas, Tom Kim, and Collin Morikawa, among others, taking part. Hosts Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will also be playing. The event will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+ in the US.
