Max Homa recently cheered up a fan who said it was 'cringe' for him to share his daughter's swing. The golfer felt there was nothing to be ashamed of when it came to being a proud father.
Max Homa, a six-time winner on the PGA Tour, is currently one of the top golfers. Outside the golf course, he is known for his social media presence, where he often expresses his wit and humor with fans through his X posts.
On Wednesday, December 26, one X user named Donnie Solesbee shared a small anecdote involving Homa.
"4 yrs ago I posted Autumn's swing to Max Homa," he wrote. "Looking back, it was cringe on my part but I was so proud of being her dad. Zire Golf posts it every yr. I always know because my notifications blow up. I wish they didn't but oh well. I am still just as proud of being her dad.
The six-time PGA Tour winner cheered up Solesbee and praised Autumn in his reply.
"It’s not cringy to be a proud dad," he replied. "Plus Autumn is awesome so that helps!"
When did Max Homa last compete?
Max Homa last competed at the DP World Tour's Nedbank Golf Challenge earlier this month. He was the defending champion and was aiming for his first win in a year.
Homa started his title defense well with a 6-under 66 in the opening round, but his performance declined over the week. He shot 75, 72, and 75 on the next three days to finish at even par after 72 holes. He tied for 14th, five strokes behind the winner, Johannes Veerman.
The 34-year-old golfer had a mixed season on the PGA Tour, failing to win a title. He played 22 events, missed just four cuts, but managed only three top-ten finishes. He slipped to 40th in the OWGR by the end of the year. However, he also had some good moments, including a T3 finish at the Masters Tournament, which was his best result at Augusta National.
