After Max Homa recently expressed his displeasure with a non-functioning water faucet at an airport, he engaged with a fan who advised the golfer to invest in "Fiji water." Homa finished the PGA Tour's 2024 regular season in the 46th position in the FedExCup standings. He had tied for ninth in the standings last year.
Homa couldn't compete in the Tour Championship due to his standing and is currently away from the course. Recently, he took to X to complain about an airport sink, writing:
"I can’t remember the last time I used an airport sink that had a functioning water faucet and soap dispenser. And when one of them does work it’s the moment I pull my hand away because I thought it was broken. Every time."
While most agreed with him on the inconvenience, one fan playfully wrote:
"you have enough money now, max. buy some fiji water and just use that + soap + cash to dry your hands."
The World No. 22, known for his quick wit on X, responded by writing:
"Thats quite the investment."
Max Homa has a total career earnings of $27,397,303 from official events on the PGA Tour. His earnings this year are $3,786,432.
The six-time PGA Tour winner was recently picked for the Presidents Cup by USA captain Jim Furyk. The biennial event will be held at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, from September 24 to 29, 2024.
On picking Max Homa, Furyk said (via PGA Tour):
"Max plays his best on the biggest stages, and that was on full display at the 2022 Presidents Cup and 2023 Ryder Cup. He was an emotional leader for both teams and someone who rallied the 11 players around him time and again, and I can’t wait to have him represent the U.S. again in Montreal."
Homa has an undefeated record of 4-0-0 at the 2022 Presidents Cup.
