Min Woo Lee jokes about hearing 'Let Him Cook' in a French accent at the Olympics - "Love words"

Min Woo Lee, one of the two players representing Australia in the men's golf competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics, recently joked about hearing 'Let Him Cook' in a French accent while playing. The second round concluded on Friday, August 2, at Le Golf National in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France.

On the 151-yard 16th hole of the second round, Lee almost scored a hole-in-one. An X/Twitter user shared the video of his shot and captioned the post:

"“Let Him Cook” in a French accent is 10x better. Min Woo nearly jarred it in response too."

The Australian Golfer quoted the tweet and wrote:

"My ball was headed towards the water and then it heard the love words. Nearly a Hole in One."

He scored a birdie on the hole. After a disappointing first round, Min Woo Lee made a comeback in the second. He scored two birdies against three bogeys and two double bogeys in the first round. He scored 5-over 76 in the round.

In the second round, the 26-year-old scored five birdies on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 9th holes against one bogey on the par-4 7th of the front nine. On the back nine, he scored three birdies on the 14th, 16th, and 17th holes against a bogey on the par-4 10th. He scored 6-under 65, the second-lowest round of the day.

After 36 holes, Min Woo Lee has an aggregate score of 1-under 141 and is tied at 35th. He'll need to continue his performance in the second round to get closer to winning a medal for his country.

His compatriot Jason Day is currently tied at 13th with 5-under 137. Xander Schauffele, Tommy Fleetwood, and Hideki Matsuyama are tied for the first position with a score of 11-under 131.

His best performance on the PGA Tour includes a T2 finish at Cognizant Classic and another T2 finish at Rocket Mortgage Classic. In the Majors, he finished T22 at the Masters, T21 at the US Open, T26 at the PGA Championship, and missed the cut at the Open.
