PGA Tour Pro Byeong Hun An defended himself after receiving criticism for comparing Tiger Woods and Scottie Scheffler. The South Korean golfer recently shared a post on X comparing Scheffler's performance in 2024 to Woods' best season on the Tour.

Scheffler had an incredible season playing on the PGA Tour in 2024. He has won seven events on the circuit and aside from that, he also won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics and recently defended his title at the Hero World Challenge.

Hun An compared the current World No. 1 with the 15-time Major champion on X, writing:

"I don’t care what anyone says, Scottie this season was as good as one of Tiger’s best seasons on tour"

However, a fan jumped to the comments section and wrote:

"LOL. You probably think Lebron is the goat not MJ."

To which Byeong Hun An replied, saying:

"MJ and Tiger are the goats. Scottie has lots to catch up. I’m sure one of the seasons that LeBron played were close to one of MJ’s season."

Hun An further defended himself amidst the debate by sharing another post. He wrote:

"Seems like lots of old people got offended by my tweet. Like how they debate about Jack vs Tiger"

However, another fan jumped to the comments section and reacted to Hun An's comparison between Scheffler and Woods. He wrote:

"Going to have your tweet on our show tmw. We appreciate the content! covered many of those Tiger years and I think you’re right. 9 wins ww, incl a 2nd Masters, 2nd Players (first ever back to back) Tour Champ, FEC, Gold w back nine 29, 4 sig wins, historic iron play."

Hun An again replied to the fan, writing:

"Not just wins but his golfing stats are incredible. Putting is the weakest but still stronger than the average."

Notably, Scottie Scheffler recently played at the Hero World Challenge, an unofficial PGA Tour event hosted by legendary golfer Tiger Woods.
