15-year-old Miles Russell is all set to make his debut on the PGA Tour at the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic. The young golfer caught the eye of the golf world when he finished tied for 20th at the LECOM Suncoast Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Miles Russell became the youngest golfer on the Korn Ferry Tour to make the cut, and his historic feat earned him a sponsor exemption into the upcoming Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Speaking about his preparation for his debut, Russell spoke about the confidence he had in his putting and swinging skills:
"I think my good golf is almost up there with some of the best. I think my short game is pretty elite. Sometimes my driver can be on one day, next day it's not, but same thing with everything else. I have a nice range and a good kind of target area that I can see, kind of like this right here."
Russell said that his game had come a long way in the last two years, ever since he met his coach, Ramon Bescansa.
"The last two years, I think, of my game has come a long ways. Golf swings gotten better just over time. I met Ramon. It's probably been eight years."
Bescansa has trained the likes of Chris Kirk and Harris English. While Russell was an unexpected addition to his list, the pair have certainly created history together.
