Fans on social media have reacted to Keegan Bradley's appointment as the vice-captain of the US team for the Presidents Cup. The American professional golfer was named the US team captain for the 2025 Ryder Cup earlier this year, and shortly after, he was given another captaincy role.

The 2024 Presidents Cup is scheduled to take place from September 24 to 29 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Jim Furyk will captain the US team, while Keegan Bradley will serve as vice-captain.

NUCLR Golf shared the news on its X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:

"Keegan Bradley has been named as a vice captain for this fall’s U.S. Presidents Cup team in Montreal."

Fans in the comments section praised Furyk's decision, believing it will help Bradley gain experience in team events ahead of the Ryder Cup. However, some fans were critical of the selection.

"Totally unreal," a fan wrote.
"Good. Needs the experience," commented another fan.

Meanwhile, some fans commented it was a smart move by US team captain Jim Furyk.

Another fan commented, "This will give him a good opportunity to practice acting like a raving maniac from the sidelines as opposed to doing so as a player."
"Very smart move from Furyk," a fan jotted.

The Presidents Cup is one of the oldest golf tournaments and takes place biennially. In the last edition, Davis Love III served as the captain of the U.S. team, while Tiger Woods was the captain in 2019.

"This will be a great experience for me"- Keegan Bradley on being the vice-captain of the US Presidents Cup team

Keegan Bradley expressed his excitement about the opportunity to serve as the vice-captain of the U.S. team at this year's Presidents Cup.

Following his appointment, he spoke to the media, stating that he was "ecstatic" to receive a call from Jim Furyk. He added that he was looking forward to learning from the experience ahead of the Ryder Cup.

Bradley said (via Mirror):

"I was ecstatic to get the call from Jim and looking forward to doing all I can to help our team in Montreal. With the Ryder Cup on the horizon next year, this will be a great experience for me to understand the other side of the team room and how that camaraderie and coaching helps our guys play their best."

Keegan Bradley has been playing golf professionally since 2008. He has won six events on the PGA Tour, including a major in 2011. Last year, he won the Travelers Championship.

In 2024, Keegan Bradley played in 18 tournaments and made the cut in 14 of them. He was also the runner-up in two events this season. His most recent appearance was at the 3M Open, where he finished tied for 46th place.
