Nelly Korda has been announced as the first special guest on the 5 Clubs morning show. The show will premiere on Monday, January 6, marking Golf Channel's return to the morning schedule.

The news was announced on the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of 5 Clubs, which will be hosted by noted journalist Gary Williams. It was also reported that celebrity commentators Jim Nantz and Scott Van Pelt will be guests on Tuesday:

"It's going to be a big first week for 5 Clubs on @GolfChannel with World #1 @NellyKorda joining @Garywilliams1Up on Monday and two of the best #JimNantz & @notthefakeSVP on Tuesday. Join us 8 AM EST."

5 Clubs will air Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Eastern time. The program marks Golf Channel's return to the early morning time slot. Between 2011 and 2020, that time slot was occupied by Morning Drive, also hosted by Gary Williams.

Of the new show, Williams had this to say (via Golf Digest):

"We aspire to make 5 Clubs on Golf Channel the golf industry’s morning show. The way to achieve that is by having a wide lens on the interests of everyone who invests time into the game of golf. The daily pursuit of that objective is supremely motivating to me."

Nelly Korda had a historic season in 2024 with seven wins, five in a row (one major). She won the LPGA Tour Player of the Year Award and the Rolex Anika Major Award.

What's next for Nelly Korda?

After concluding her participation in the PNC Championship last December, Nelly Korda hinted at what her schedule will look like at the start of the 2025 season. Specifically, Korda said she would play at Lake Nona and then rest until the West Coast Wing.

This schedule will be similar to the one she had to start her successful 2024 season. At Lake Nona, Nelly Korda is expected to play in the season-opening Hilton Grand Vacation Tournament of Champions from January 30 - February 2.

The world number one will then rest for seven weeks while the circuit embarks on its first Asian tour. The West Coast wing includes the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, the Ford Championship, and the T-Mobile Match Play between March and April, of which Nelly Korda is the defending champion.

April concludes with the season's first major, the Chevron Championship, also won by Korda in 2024.

Other tournaments where Korda's presence will certainly count are the Mizuho Americas Open in May and the Annika in November, where she will also be defending her title. Then there are the season's remaining four majors (Women's PGA Championship, US Women's Open, Evian Championship and AIG Women's Open) and the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.
