Nelly Korda is currently preparing for the new LPGA Tour season, which kicks off in two weeks. However, like much of the world, she took a break on Sunday, January 12.
Korda shared a mirror selfie on Instagram, where she was seen wearing a varsity jacket and denim. She also carried a small handbag and captioned the story, 'Day off.'
Korda was last seen competing at the Grant Thornton Invitational, where she played alongside Daniel Berger and tied for 13th place. She will start her season at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, which will take place from January 30 to February 2 at Lake Nona Golf Course in Orlando, Florida.
"There were so many lessons learned that year" - Nelly Korda reflects on her 2024 season
Recently, Nelly Korda was a guest on Golf Channel's 5 Clubs show, where she spoke with Gary Williams and touched on various topics. During the interview, she also reflected on her incredible 2024 season, calling the year 'super rewarding.'
"There were so many lessons learned that year," she said. "When it came to good golf, there was a mix of bad golf too. I became an auntie. Just the 2024 year in general, it was definitely a learning year.
"Also, being put in maybe a bit of a different spotlight as well. I just thought it was a really fun year, a year that I learned a lot about myself, and then obviously, can't forget about the good golf I played as well," she added.
Nelly Korda had an outstanding run on the LPGA Tour in 2024, winning seven titles, including five in back-to-back starts. She claimed the Chevron Championship, her second Major championship, and earned the Rolex Player of the Year award for the first time in her career.
