Nelly Korda narrowly missed out on the AIG Women's Open title last Sunday (August 25), finishing as the runner-up. However, she didn't waste much time and flew back to New York to support her brother, Sebastian Korda, at the US Open.

Nelly Korda is a 14-time winner on the LPGA Tour, with six of those victories coming this season alone. Last week, she tied for second at the AIG Women's Open, finishing two shots behind Lydia Ko. While her sister Jessica is also an LPGA Tour pro, her younger brother Sebastian is an emerging tennis star.

On Tuesday, August 27, Korda shared a story celebrating Sebastian Korda's win in the first round of the US Open.

"First round dub," she wrote.

Earlier, Sebastian Korda defeated Corentin Moutet of France 7-6(3), 6-1, 6-0 to advance to the next round. Notably, this is his best result here, as he has yet to move past the second round at the final Major of the year in his career.

Is Nelly Korda playing in the FM Championship?

Nelly Korda is not competing at the FM Championship, this week's event on the LPGA Tour's schedule. She has decided to skip this week's action after her runner-up finish at St. Andrews. Notably, she settled for a runner-up finish after having a 36-hole lead. This could have been her seventh win of the season.

Korda had an incredible season where she won six titles, including five back-to-back. She won the Chevron Championship, her second Major championship. However, since her win at the Mizuho Americas Open in May, she hasn't been able to add another title to her cabinet.

Korda missed three straight cuts following her Mizuho Americas Open win. However, she returned to the form with the T2 finish last week. This result also helped her win the 2024 Rolex Annika Major Award, given annually to the best performer at the Major championships that year.
