American golfer Nelly Korda opened up about the loss of anonymity from golfers' lives. The world No. 1, who is having an off-season these days, recently opened up about her remarkable 2024 season and also shared her opinion on the lives of sports stars.

In her interview for 5 Clubs on Golf Channel this week, Korda was asked about managing a life "that is very public." In response, Korda said (at 10:00):

"I think it’s just mainly the people around you, the people that you surround yourself with," Korda said. "What I've learned in 2024 is that you just can't conform to what people want you to be. You have to be who you want to be, and at the end of the day, that's how you're going to thrive and be the best version of yourself."

Adding that it was important to surround oneself with people who help you 'recharge' after leading a public life as a professional athlete, Korda added:

"So, having people around you that know who you are, and that kind of take you away from that life, that recharge your batteries, was super important for me. I have an amazing family, an amazing support system, and I’m so grateful for them," she added.
