US golfer Nelly Korda has been very active on her social media as she recovers from her neck injury that kept her out of the LPGA Tour's Asian series. On Sunday, November 9, she took to her Instagram to share a hilarious reel about why sisters visit each other.
The reel, originally posted by a digital creator, featured a woman sprinting into her sister's house just to see her baby niece or nephew. Korda's sister and six-time LPGA title winner, Jessica Korda, welcomed her first child, Greyson John DelPrete, in February this year. And by the looks of it, Nelly is very much the doting aunt to her first nephew.
Jessica and her husband, Johnny DelPrete, announced their pregnancy in August last year. The 31-year-old has six LPGA Tour wins to her name.
"Entering my aunty era" - When Nelly Korda reacted to her sister's pregnancy announcement
Jessica Korda was the first of the three siblings to become a parent and aunt Nelly Korda was more than elated to enter a new "era" of her life in 2024. She spoke about it during a press interview before the 2024 LPGA Drive On Championship in January 2024.
"Entering my aunty era. 2024. Yeah I'm very excited. I'm mostly excited just to see this new chapter in Johnny's and Jess' life. And I think it's going to be really exciting."
The World no. 1 has always been fond of children. In April 2024, she talked about how she hopes to inspire the little kids who come to watch her play during her tournaments (via LPGA Tour).
"I love seeing everyone come out, and especially the little kids, little girls and boys come out and watch us play. It makes what we do so much better and hopefully we inspire them to love the game as much as we love it."
The newly-crowned LPGA Player of the Year will next be seen in golf action at The Annika driven by Gainbridge next week at the Pelican Golf Club in Florida.
Korda will end her incredible 2024 season with the CME Group Tour Championship at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida at the end of this month. Outside of the regular competitive calendar, the golfer's last appearance on the course would most likely be at the PNC Championship in December where she will play alongside her father, Petr Korda.
In another feather to her hat, Korda became the first LPGA Tour member to grace the SI Swimsuit cover recently.
