Nelly Korda comes from a family of athletes. Her mother and she have been Olympians, and of course, Korda is the world number one in golf right now. Her sister also plays golf, and her brother Sebastian is a renowned tennis player.
He recently qualified for the Adelaide International tennis finals. It is the first time he's played in a tournament at all since having elbow surgery last year, so his triumphant comeback is off to the races. There's an impressive highlight video of his performance on Instagram.
Nelly shared the video to her story and added a few proud emojis for her followers. Her brother triumphed over his setbacks and has reached a new height in tennis. He now has his work cut out for him to continue on and secure another trophy for the Korda name.
In 2024, the world number one Nelly Korda took home seven trophies. That included the Annika and the Chevron Championship, her second Major title. She had a brilliant year for the Korda family, and 2025 could be even better.
For now, while the LPGA Tour awaits its first official event, her brother is taking up the mantle and playing well in his sport.

The LPGA Tour, and subsequently Nelly Korda, is in the offseason right now. There haven't been tournaments since the CME Group Tour Championship on November 24. The Grant Thornton Invitational was an unofficial event that Korda did play in, but she's otherwise been off.
The first tournament of the season is not until January 30, but Korda is still practicing frequently. She's the world number one for a good reason, and hard work is part of it. She shared some of that to her Instagram story on Wednesday.
She captioned it:
"Not your typical Florida attire."
Korda was adorned in cold-weather gear, which is uncommon for the warm climate in Florida. She was wearing long leggings, a puffer vest, a hoodie, and a toboggan. As cold as it was, Korda did her best to stay warm to get some time on the course. Being the world number one takes a lot of effort, and she's not willing to sacrifice even when it's frigid outside.
The world number one doesn't have to be in action again until the end of the month, but rust never helped any athlete. She's aiming to be ready to go when the season starts instead of needing to get back into form. That includes braving a cold day in Florida, where Korda lives.
