Nelly Korda shows her travel outfit, teasing new trip after New York amid big break from golf

Two weeks after winning the Solheim Cup for the first time in her career, Nelly Korda is taking a few days off. She used part of her break to spend a few days in New York, a city she has been visiting a lot lately.

Nelly Korda shared an outfit she recently wore with her more than 1 million Instagram followers, accompanied by the following text:

"Where to now? NYC -> ?"

Less than a month ago, Nelly Korda was in New York after finishing second at the AIG Women's Open. Korda was there to support her brother Sebastian, who was competing in the US Open (tennis).

Earlier in the season, the two-time major champion had made several trips to the so-called Big Apple, including attending the MET Gala in May.

Nelly Korda was part of the USA team that won the 2024 Solheim Cup at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club two weeks ago. It was Korda's first win in four appearances at the event.

A week later, Korda tied for fifth at the Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinnati. It was her ninth top-10 finish of the season.

Nelly Korda and her 'time-off strategy'

Nelly Korda has made it a point to take time off during the season to ensure she maintains good results. The strategy has paid off, leading her to six wins and three top-10s on the LPGA Tour, as well as a Solheim Cup victory.

The first significant break came at the beginning of the season when she was out of competition for seven weeks. This included visiting her relatives in Prague, and when she returned, Korda went on to win four tournaments in a row, including a major championship.

Since then, she has played two or three tournaments a month. The only exception so far was in July when she played only the Amundi Evian Championship due to a dog bite.

Next on Korda's schedule is the Maybank Championship in Malaysia from October 24 to 27.
