Nelly Korda recently shared a statement through her Instagram profile on January 11, 2025, where she warned her fans against alleged scammers. The LPGA Tour pro is an active Instagram user and currently, she has 1 million followers there.

In the post, Korda explained to her fans about the incident which made her release a public statement. According to the golfer, there has been a recent surge in different accounts that often pose as the athlete herself. She further clarified that she only has social media accounts on X and Instagram, not TikTok. Nelly Korda shared her official statement on her Instagram and wrote in the caption:

"Hey everyone - I've unfortunately seen a huge rise in fake accounts posing as me. Please know I will never ask for money or do any direct fan outreach from my accounts. Thank you for all your support, and I can't wait to get the 2025 season going."

Korda's fellow pro golfer Charley Hull suffered from a similar incident. Back on December 4, 2024, Hull revealed that a lot of scammers were trying to extort money and gift cards. She further added that fake accounts which were fooling her fans in the name of meet-and-greet sessions were at large. Charley Hull released an official statement on her Instagram too with the caption:

"PLEASE READ!! I ALSO DO NOT HAVE TELEGRAM"

Nelly Korda and Hull have spent the last part of 2024 away from the golf courses following their off-season time. While Korda spent New Year vacationing in Park City, Utah, Hull celebrated Christmas week with her loved ones and family. As the 2025 LPGA Tour approaches, both of them have been seen spending time brushing up their fitness and skills.

"Never in a million years would I have thought last year, 365 days ago, I would be here with seven wins in one season and another major championship. But I’m proud of the way I played this year, proud of the way I bounced back after the middle of the year to win in Tampa. And, yeah, just motivated and eager to get next year going again."

Nelly Korda could start her 2025 LPGA Tour season by teeing off at the Lake Nona Golf Course on January 30. She has attended the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions consecutively for the past three years. Since Jessica Korda won the HGV back in 2021, her sister might attempt to move past the T16 ranking of last year.

The winner of The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican 2024 will be back to defend her title. Considering her record-breaking run in 2024, Nelly Korda will be back to defend all seven titles. In 2025, she might also take part in all the 16 events where she played in 2024. Fans could also expect her appearance at the 2025 Solheim Cup for Team USA.
