There have been two seasons of the Full Swing series on Netflix so far. The first season was released on February 15, 2023 and had eight episodes. The second season, with eight more episodes was released on March 6, 2024. As of now, there is no clarification from Netflix on how many episodes season three of Full Swing will have.
A release from Netflix stated:
“Season three brings even more drama, with a lens on Scottie Scheffler’s history-making run, Rory McIlroy’s emotional rollercoaster in and out of competition, Bryson DeChambeau’s evolution from anti-hero to fan favorite and Keegan Bradley’s quest to write his own redemption arc from last year's dramatic letdown.”
The release further added:
“Also, Min Woo Lee and sister Minjee make their bid to be the first brother/sister golf tandem in Olympic history, Wyndham Clark partners with Mark Wahlberg to take their brand to the next level, Sahith Theegala makes a choice that costs him millions, Gary Woodland fights to return to the sport after battling a brain tumor, and Presidents Cup Assistant Captain Camilo Villegas rallies an International team in the wake of his own family tragedy.”
Full Swing Season 3 may define whether it is still popular or not
The first two seasons of the series had different outcomes if we take the spread among the Netflix subscribers. According to Golf Monthly, the first season of Full Swing had 53.1 million hours of watch time, but the second season could only garner 28 million hours of watch time.
Does that mean that the first season that covered the then-contemporary issue of the PGA Tour and LIV Golf controversy was the reason for its record watch time? If that is the case then Full Swing season 3 could become a make-or-break season for this series.
With several of the world's most popular golfers a part of the show, fans can look forward to many interesting storylines on season three of Full Swing.
