NFL star Sauce Gardner is giving a go at golf this summer. He frequently posts on his X account about his learnings, questions, opinions, and his everyday achievements in golf.
Recently, Gardner said his respect for Tiger Woods 'went up x10' after he found out that the legendary golfer plays Call of Duty. It all started when Gardner announced on X that he was starting a new Warzone tournament on Call of Duty. He said that he needed his NFL peers to participate and to text him.
After his tweet, a fan suggested Gardner to open the tournament for PGA professionals. Gardner responded in suspicion if PGA Tour players even play Call of Duty. The 23-year-old questioned if Tiger Woods would ever pick up a controller instead of golf clubs.
"PGA pros play COD?? Are they one of us? No shot Tiger putting his club down to pick the sticks up😂"
In response, the PGA Tour's official X account tweeted an old video of Woods where he's expressing his love for Call of Duty. In the video, Tiger Woods said:
"JT was texting me last night doing what are you doing right now? And I said, well quit bugging me. I'm playing Call of Duty. I brought my my little portable PlayStation and was playing a little bit last night."
Woods further said he doesn't like Fortnight. Sauce Gardner was blown away by the fact that Woods plays Call of Duty. He shared the PGA Tour's video and wrote:
"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? My respect for Tiger just went up x10 and I thought it was already maxed #oneofus"
Two minutes later, he makes amends and asks if PGA Tour professionals, amateurs, and juniors want to get in as well. He further wrote:
"Definitely didn't think y'all were one of us considering how hard golf is lol," he wrote.
Sauce Gardner had recently ignited a debate on X when he said that he found golf more difficult than football. The NFL star would soon be seen on the football field as the 2024 training camps begin later this month.
Whereas Tiger Woods would be teeing off at the Open Championship 2024 at Royal Troon next week. The Major might be Woods' last tournament this year. His performance at the Open Championship since his debut in 1995 is as follows:

PGA Tour professionals advice Sauce Gardner on golf
Sauce Gardner has picked golf for three weeks now. Recently, he asked for advice to improve his game on X. In response, several PGA Tour players suggested improvements to Gardner.
Will Zalatoris said (via PGA Tour):
"He's got some speed for one. I mean the dude's an athlete, we know that, but I mean that's pretty impressive. Clean up a little bit of the short game there and he's going to be pretty good, pretty quick."
Cameron Young agreed with Zalatoris on the driver part and said:
"Short game – we need a little more weight forward, little bit steeper. But pretty good."
PGA Tour player Chris Kirk was awestruck by Sauce Gardner's play in just two weeks. He said (via PGA Tour):
"He doesn't need any help from me, he's a lot better than I was two weeks into playing golf."
LIV golfer Bryson DeChambeau in a post on X invited the New York Jets star for a golf lesson on his YouTube Channel.
