Nike Golf deleted its Twitter and Instagram accounts despite having a star-studded lineup. The company took down its golf account from the social media platform after barely maintaining it for 6–7 years.

The sudden decision comes as a surprise as Nike has signed contracts with the top-rated golfers in the world, including Tiger Woods and current World No. 1 Rory McIlroy.

Nuclr golf shared the news on their Twitter account with the following caption:

"After 6-7 years of barely maintaining its golf accounts, Nike Golf has now deleted its social media pages on instagram and Twitter."

Fans jumped into the comments section to express their disappointment with the decision. They wrote:

"Their social media manager should be fired. If I had Tiger Woods and Rory as my athletes I’d be doing so many different posts & stuff. Sad!"

"LIV did it!" - Fans blame LIV for Nike Golf deleting their social media account

Nike Golf deleting their social media accounts does not sit well with the fans. They were not happy with the decision. Golf fans, on the other hand, are aware that the sport's shrinking audience is having an impact.

The biggest concern is pre-existing issues. For example, if Tiger Woods retires, there will be a sudden drop in attendance.

The PGA Tour has been dealt with a lot, and now the newly formed LIV Golf is giving them tough competition. Dozens of golfers joined the Saudi-backed series after they offered them million-dollar contracts.

Nike Golf has deleted their account, and Twitter fans are blaming LIV Golf for the same.

One user took to his Twitter account to comment on a post shared by Nuclr Golf.

"LIV did it!" he wrote.

It is important to note that LIV Golf has allegedly lured several top-rated PGA Tour players by offering them undeniable money. Both series are engaged in a legal fight that will probably come to a decision this year.

However, amidst all of this, the LIV golfers and PGA Tour players often landed in hot water thanks to their vocal comments.

LIV golfer Patrick Reed and PGA Tour player Rory McIlroy had a verbal spat last month at the Dessert Classic after Reed was reported to have thrown a tee at the Northern Irish golfer.

Nike Golf's decision to delete their account again initiated rumors that LIV was somehow involved. However, it's only the fans' theory.

Noticeably, Nike Golf recently signed a deal with LPGA Tour player Nelly Korda. Korda shared the good news on her social media page with the caption:

"Just did it! Super excited to join Swoosh fam!"

Singing a deal with Nike adds more value to the players' names. However, their decision to delete the social media page is shocking to people and generates more doubt.

Nonetheless, there is no valid justification for their decision, and fans even wonder if they have deleted the account considering the lack of audience.
