At the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Championship, Noah Goodwin earned a PGA Tour card after a struggle of 17 years. The wait, however, was not easy for the 24-year-old. While Goodwin had done all he could, his fate was in the hands of Brian Campbell and Doc Redman, who had to make their putts.

Goodwin, who was anxiously watching the pair, was finally relieved when Campbell and Redman putted on the 18th hole because it meant he secured a PGA Tour card. After this was confirmed, Goodwin, in an interview, was asked how the final two hours were when he waited for Campbell to finish.

Goodwin said (via Golf Channel):

Awful. Awful. Every second of it was awful. There was no break the entire time. I mean, God, at the end of the day, I got lucky. But it takes a lot of luck to play this game, and it takes a lot of luck to get where we are going. So, I am just grateful, I am proud of the effort, I am proud of the people I have around me that have been here for me and gotten me through all of this. Yeah, that's about it."

Further, Goodwin was asked when he finally realized that he was going to get the PGA Tour card, who was the person he first hugged. The American golfer added:

"It had to have been my girlfriend - I don't even know. The last 30 minutes have been a blur. I think my girlfriend just - she used to play pro golf as well. She knows what this is like. She knows the struggle of it all. She knows how one putt can change your entire next year, and she supported me all the way."

Noah Goodwin also said that his girlfriend has been with him through his good and bad weeks. The PGA Tour card winner also spoke about his mom and dad and mentioned the time he told them he wanted to play professional golf at the age of seven. Goodwin concluded by saying," Seven-year-old me would be really proud right now."
