US golfer Nelly Korda is currently enjoying her break from competitve golf. In her down-time she has often shared travel updates, life anecdotes, randome selfies, memes and more on her social media page.
Recently, the Florida native took to Instagram to share a hilarious meme from the Sarasota Police Department. Sarasota is currently preparing for the upcoming Tropical Storm Milton that is expected to reach major hurricane strength before reaching the county. This storm has come while Sarasota is still recovering from Hurricane Helene.
To make light of the otherwise scary situation, the Sarasota Police Department shared a reel talking about the weather forecast. The caption read, "Sarasota watching the latest forecast like..." and finished with a crying emoji. The reel depicted a local police car and a GIF of actor Kevin Hart crying was laid over it.
Nelly Korda posted the reel on her Instagram story, saying:
"Not again"
She added a frustrated emoji to get across her feelings with the current weather conditions in Sarasota.
Nelly Korda "trying to beat" the rains during golf practice
US golfer Nelly Korda has had an exhausting few months with back-to-back tournaments. She is currently on a break from competitive golf. However, that doesn't mean she has concluded her 2024 season.
The World no. 1 will next be seen at the BMW Ladies Championship in South Korea at the end of this month. She has a couple more events lined up before she calls the curtains on her year. Hence, even in her downtime she has been practising.
While Korda is used to defeating tough competition on the greens, this time she found an unlikely opponent during practice early morning. That opponent was the rainy weather. The 26-year-old posted a story on Instagram of her hitting a shot on a golf course at 7:19 am. The sky looked stormy as Korda captioned the video:
"Trying to beat the (rains)"
The golfer used a rainy cloud emoji to portray the rains. A bunch of golf balls were pooled together next to Korda as she teed off.
Nelly Korda's state, Florida, is currently experiencing some of the worst weather conditions. Just as the Southeastern USA tried to recover from Hurricane Helene, it is now having to face the Tropical Storm Milton that is expected to grow its strength in a few days. Augusta National in Georgia was also ravaged by Helene.
