Bernhard Langer showered high praise on Y.E. Yang after losing to the latter in the Ascension Charity Classic playoff. He complimented Yang's consistency and driving ability, stating that Yang's game currently had no visible weaknesses.

On Sunday, September 8, Langer shot a 7-under 64 in the final round, finishing at 13-under. After 54 holes of regulation play, he tied with Yang, who shot 66, leading to a playoff decider. In the playoff hole, Langer made par, while Yang clinched his first Senior Tour title with a birdie.

During the post-round interview, Langer reserved high praise for Yang.

"Very consistent," he said. "Drives the ball straight and long. Hits a lot of good iron shots. Does everything well. You know, chips it well, putts it pretty good. Not really a weakness in his game right now.
"Yeah, that's why he's probably in the Top 5 or so in the Schwab Cup standings right now," he added.

Following the Ascension Charity Classic, Yang is placed sixth in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, while Bernhard Langer is 21st. Notably, Langer missed several tournaments this season due to injury. Ernie Els, who has won three titles this season, currently leads the standings.
