A look at Scottie Scheffler's performance in 2024

Scottie Scheffler had the best season of his career this year, winning seven titles on the PGA Tour, in addition to the Olympic gold medal. He also claimed the FedEx Cup title and ended the season as the year-end No. 1.

Scheffler began the season with a T5 finish at the Sentry, then registered three more top-10 finishes in his next four starts. However, what followed was an unbelievable run over the next few weeks.

Scheffler secured his first win of the year at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, defeating Wyndham Clark by five strokes. The following week, he defended his Players Championship title, claiming a one-shot victory over Clark, Brian Harman, and Xander Schauffele. He then narrowly missed out on another win, finishing as runner-up at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

A month later, Scheffler posted a four-shot win over Ludvig Åberg to capture the Masters Tournament. This marked his second green jacket in as many years. A week later, he beat Sahith Theegala by two shots to win the RBC Heritage, his fourth victory in five starts.

Scheffler’s victorious run was momentarily paused with a T8 finish at the PGA Championship and a T2 at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Nevertheless, he returned to business as usual and won the Memorial Tournament, securing his fifth victory of the season.

The 28-year-old golfer then went on to win the Travelers Championship in a playoff, before taking home the gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

Scottie Scheffler began the FedEx Cup playoffs with a T4 finish at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, then tied for 33rd at the BMW Championship, his worst performance of the season. However, he quickly rebounded and claimed the Tour Championship for his first-ever FedEx Cup title.
