Popular golf influencer Paige Spiranac boasts quite a following on social media. While the American has four million followers on Instagram, she also has a million followers on X.

Recently, Spiranac used X to ask a journalist out on an "ice cream" date. The journalist, Claire Rogers, works for Golf.com. Rogers shared an image of herself with the caption, "The Scoop. Season 2." Spiranac commented on the post:

"Can we eat some ice cream together sometime?"

You can check Paige Spiranac's interaction with Claire Rogers below:

For those unaware, The Scoop is a popular show hosted by Claire Rogers on Golf.com. In the show, Rogers shares a scoop of ice cream with some of the best golfing personalities on the planet and picks their brains. Based on their interaction on X, Spiranac could feature in the second season of The Scoop.

Rogers seemingly accepted Paige Spiranac's idea and wrote:

"Paige I would love nothing more!!!"

The first season of The Scoop featured prominent golfers from the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, and LIV Golf. The likes of Collin Morikawa, Bryson DeChambeau, and Olympic gold medalist Lydia Ko appeared in season 1. It will be interesting to see which golfers appear in season 2 of The Scoop.

Paige Spiranac recently used X to come to defend PGA Tour veteran Justin Thomas

PGA Tour's Justin Thomas made the headlines after he sent a letter to golfers on the PGA Tour about increasing golf viewership. Thomas' letter comes after TV ratings for golf tournaments have suffered a drop year on year.

While some resonated with the content of the veteran golfer's letter, others disagreed. One such fan used social media platform X to disagree with Thomas and even mentioned he lacked personality. The user wrote:

"Unfortunately most of these guys have zero personalities or fire. Where the Chi Chis, Fuzzys, Trevino, Palmers of the world. These guys would mix it up with fans and still rip your head off"

The comment was met with a swift reply from Paige Spiranac, who differed from the fan's opinion that Thomas and the other mentioned golfers did not have personalities. Spiranac added they have personalities and are fun.

Spiranac wrote:

"I disagree. They do have personalities and are pretty funny! I don’t want to speak for them but I’m sure they might feel that they will be ripped apart online if they say or do the wrong thing. Sometimes it’s just easier to say nothing."

This is not the first time Paige Spiranac has used social media as a platform to defend an athlete. Previously, she used social media to defend WNBA player Caitlin Clark, who received backlash from current and former players in her league.
