Paige Spiranac recently shared her NFL betting picks on social media. However, she had to repost them because of a minor spelling error, not because the picks were incorrect.
Spiranac, a former professional golfer who transitioned into a golf influencer after her retirement, also models and frequently entertains her fans with posts and other social media engagements.
On Monday, December 1, Spiranac posted her CBB and NFL betting picks in collaboration with Sports Grid. For CBB, she picked Oral Roberts at +3.5 and Texas State University at 140.5. In the NFL, her picks included the Washington Commanders at -6 and both Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles at +3.
However, there was a small error in her post as she had misspelled 'Pittsburgh.' After several fans pointed out the mistake, Spiranac shared a follow-up post acknowledging it.
"Yes I know how to spell Pittsburgh correctly lol I didn't spell check before I posted," she wrote. "Not the first time this has happened and won't be the last haha."
Following this, the 31-year-old former golfer reposted her picks with the correct spelling.
How did Paige Spiranac's NFL picks perform in their respective matches?
Most of Paige Spiranac's picks for CBB and NFL matches turned out to be correct, and the popular golf influencer went 4-1 with her picks.
Among the NFL picks, the Washington Commanders delivered a thumping 42-19 defeat to the Tennessee Titans. The Pittsburgh Steelers won 44-38 against the Cincinnati Bengals, while the Philadelphia Eagles posted a 24-19 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
In College Basketball, the Texas State Bobcats registered a 72-59 win over the Texas Southern Tigers. The only bet Spiranac got wrong was on the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles, who lost 72-67 to the Missouri State Bears.
Paige Spiranac has been a big football fan and has always shared her opinions and bets in past NFL seasons as well. A few years ago, she started a "jinxing theory" where whichever team she supported would end up losing. During the 2022 season, she posted a photograph wearing a Los Angeles Rams jersey, but the team lost to the Buffalo Bills.
The Spiranac curse struck again when she supported the Cincinnati Bengals, and they were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, with the 31-year-old golf influencer going 3-0 with her first NFL bets of the season, it seems the curse may be over.
