Paige Spiranac is one of the golf-related personalities with a greater presence in social networks and in the digital universe in general. This has led her to be called upon for the most diverse activities, the latest of which is related to motor racing.
Spiranac was announced this Thursday, August 22, as the Honorary Pace Car Driver and Event Official for the next NASCAR Cup Series race to be held at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The race organizers themselves announced the news on their official X account with the following text:

Three other athletes will be guests at the race. The first will be three-time Olympic swimming champion Robert "Bobby" Finke (2020 Tokyo 800m Freestyle, 2020 Tokyo 1500m Freestyle and 2024 Paris 1500m Freestyle), who will wave the green flag as the honorary starter.
Multi-time National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) cross country and track & field champion Parker Valby and nine-time Olympic champion Caeleb Dressel will join Paige Spiranac as Honorary Event Officials.
In her role as Honorary Pace Car Driver and Event Official, Paige Spiranac will perform a variety of protocol activities, including driving the ceremonial car that officially opens the day's racing.
The next race at Daytona International Speedway, dubbed the Coke Zero Sugar 400 for sponsorship purposes, will be the penultimate race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. It will take place on Saturday, August 24.
