Paige Spiranac shares four essential clubs beginners need for golf
Paige Spiranac, a popular golf influencer, recently shared tips, highlighting four essential golf club beginners need to start their golf journey. In a YouTube video posted on her official channel on October 2, Spiranac gave her take on how to start out with golfing and why one doesn't need the complete equipment from the get-go:
"I want to stress that you don't need this full setup right away. I like to tell new golfers that you only really need four clubs."
Spiranac said that beginners need a wedge, a putter, an eight or seven iron, and a driver when they start their golf journey, and claimed that beginners don't need custom clubs and should focus on understanding their golf swing first.
"And you don't need to invest in getting custom clubs right away, which I'm a huge advocate for getting equipment that really fits your game. But when you're first starting out, you don't need all of that because you're just getting used to the motion and swinging and seeing what you like and what you dislike. So starting out, you can get four clubs."
Spiranac said that beginners don't have to necessarily buy brand-new golf equipment but can buy second-hand equipment.
"You can go to a store and get secondhand. Sometimes you can even ask your friends to borrow some of their clubs because again, they don't invest in good clubs. So they're probably just throwing them to the side and you can borrow them for free."
