Paige Spiranac explains about basic components of a golf club

On YouTube, Paige Spiranac also teaches golf to beginners and conducts friendly challenges with professional golfers.

In a recent episode of the golf series 'The Beginner's Guide to Starting Golf' on her YouTube channel, Spiranac provided an overview of the basics of golf clubs. She starts with wedges and explains that these have the most loft. She said:

"And so you use this club when you want to get it higher in the air, a little bit more spin, and it's going to go shorter as well."

Spiranac then talked about three main parts of each club: hosel, shaft and golf grip. She explained that a shaft can have two types of flex, a regular or stiff. She explained that a club head changes in every club.

Spiranac then compared wedges with a nine iron and a five iron. She explained that longer clubs create longer shots with less loft. She gave an example of nine iron which goes 130 yards whereas the five iron goes till 180 yards.

Spiranac then talked about an important golf rule. She said:

"One thing that is very important, that there is a max of clubs that you can carry in your bag. You can only have 14 clubs. You can't exceed 14, but you can have less. So if you only like 12, 13, whatever it may be, you can do that, but you just can't have more than 14. If you tee off in a tournament and you have more than 14 clubs, you actually get penalized for it."

Spiranac then said that she'll talk about the golf rules in upcoming videos. She has 434k subscribers on YouTube.
