Paige Spiranac will be competing against golf legend John Daly on June 5 on the Gary Player Course. The American golfer turned social media influencer revealed the details of the tournament via her Twitter account in January and recently updated her fans with her preparation tips.

The social media sensation is trying her best to register a win over Daly. In a video shared by Geneva National Resort on its Instagram page, Paige Spiranac talked about the upcoming tournament and also shared practice tips.

In a short video made for Shot Scope, Paige revealed the details of the match. She said:

"Playing the match against the legend John Daly on June 5 at Geneva National. One of my favourite places."

Spiranac added:

"I am so so excited and Shots Scopenand I have been working together on my game back into playing shape. So Shot Scope had come up with 5 key tips that I need to improve want to hopefully get it done against John Daly."

Here are the five key tips shared by Paige Spiranac:

1) Hitting the ball far

Paige's first tip was on working on shots off the tee. She talked about the ball's position and body position while trying to hit the ball as far as possible.

The 29-year-old said:

"One thing you can do is to tee the ball a little bit higher and stretch your way a little far back. You want to hit inside-out sweepy draws and so you set yourself behind it and you are already in the position to swing up on it. By swing up on it, you're gonna hit it farther and you can get that done nicely. "

2) Slowing down between shots

Spiranac's second tip was to slow down during the shots. She believes that playing in a hurry can affect your game, so it’s better to slow down and play peacefully. Paige explained:

"I speed myself up and my routine before my pre-shot routine is so messed up. So I wanna try to calm down and knock ahead of myself, disconnect for a second, I think that's really important point."

3) Holing out from 5 feet and in

Spiranac's third tip was regarding short shots. She showed the shot practically in the video by holing it out from 5 feet, hitting it slowly to get the job done.

4) Working on her shot game

Paige Spiranac's fourth tip was to play a short game. She said:

"I throw the golf balls down wherever they are lying, that's where I have to play it."

5) Believe she can win

Paige Spiranac's last tip was to believe in herself. She believes that self-confidence is very important.

Speaking about the upcoming match, she said:

"Number five is believing I am a winner, so not having any negative self-talk and getting down on myself. This is something I have always struggled with throughout my entire playing career and I am trying to work on it and just go around and trying to have positive self-talk and believing in myself and knowing that even though I am playing against an absolute legend not to get in my head about it."
