Paige Spiranac is one of the most well-known golf influencers. She is the most followed golf entity on Instagram with over four million followers. She is also quite active on X (formerly Twitter) and shares her views on various topics without any hesitation.
She recently shared a message on the current situation of professional golf which is bifurcated into PGA vs LIV and is also transitioning towards Pro Golf vs YouTube Golf. She feels that professional golf is currently struggling to capture audiences.
"I’ve been doing golf content creation for 10 years now. During that time I’ve seen golf media explode within the last couple years. It started because of the division between LIV and the PGAT. People wanted to watch golf that was fun, entertaining and pure."
"But the recent commentary about YouTube golf vs pro golf is only going to cause more division and animosity which golf can’t afford right now. They are two separate entities and it’s mutually beneficial to work together to reach more eyeballs."
"No one is blind to the fact pro golf is currently struggling to capture audiences. They need to speed up pace of play, get fresh talent incorporated into the broadcasts, introduce the audience to the rookies, less commercials, and most importantly have the best players in the world on one tour."
"Golf is better when professional golf is thriving. There is nothing better than a back 9 of a major."
Earlier Paige Spiranac had shared her thoughts on the professional golf vs YouTube golf debate, after Kyle Porter - one of the most well-known golf journalists - had shared a post saying PGA Tour is facing issues as it is more entertaining to watch YouTube Golf.
Spiranac wrote that there is no need to make this a Pro golf vs YouTube golf thing. She believes it is a cycle and once YouTube golf is deemed corporate, it will be boring and people will move back to pro golf again.
Paige Spiranac competed in the PGA Tour's Creator Classic tournament

The response to the event was incredible as the event peaked with over 110,000 live viewers on YouTube.
