Paige Spiranac is an extremely well-known golf-based influencer. With a following of around 4 million people on Instagram and 1 million on X (formerly Twitter), Paige is known for her bold takes on various sports, especially golf.

Recently, Spiranac posted a tweet mentioning her latest handicap, which is +3.4. The tweet went viral as fans bombarded her comments section with questions, which led to Paige Spiranac posting a tweet addressing all of them.

Spiranac clarified that handicaps are usually calculated by taking in the best eight scores out of a golfer's last 20 scores. Hence, even golfers who play a few bad rounds can have a lower handicap.

"So many questions about handicaps from this post!
1. A + handicap is better than scratch.
2. A +3 handicap is good but nowhere close to completing against the best in the world. I don’t think people realize how good they are, how hard the courses are set up, and all while doing it under extreme pressure. It’s a different game they play
3. You calculate your golf handicap by taking the average score of the best eight of your last 20 scores. Meaning you can still have some pretty shitty rounds and still be a low handicap
4. Pros don’t keep a handicap, but someone calculated Tiger at a +9 once, which is insane."

She explained all the points and added that while a golfer's handicap isn't calculated when they turn pro, someone once calculated Tiger's handicap to be +9 once. Hence, to showcase how the handicap system works, she took a gentle dig at Tiger Woods and justified her handicap.

Paige Spiranac has found her passion for golf again.

Former pro golfer Paige Spiranac competed in a couple of events on the Ladies European Tour. She turned pro in 2015 and tried her best to compete in the LPGA Tour, but unfortunately, she couldn't make it to the penultimate tour.

Paige retired early as she couldn't handle the mental pressure of playing golf and keeping low scores. Spiranac said she used to equate her scores with her self-worth, which made it extremely stressful and emotionally challenging.

However, Paige Spiranac said she has started to gain her passion back. She has started tracking scores and is practicing hard to improve her game. Moreover, she also carded 73 at Austin CC and has promised to keep her fans updated.

Meanwhile, as previously mentioned, Spiranac has built up a successful career in the media industry as she has around 4 million followers on Instagram, 1 Million on Twitter, and 421 thousand subscribers on YouTube. She also shares a great rapport with some pro golfers and regularly collaborates with them.
