Patrick Cantlay is representing Team USA in the 2024 Presidents Cup at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Canada against the International Team. After the 'hat gate' controversy at the 2023 Ryder Cup, Cantlay is representing Team USA for the first time this week.

The American golfer showed up to the Presidents Cup this year wearing a Team USA cap and is currently preparing for the event.

"Patrick Cantlay has been seen wearing his hat this week in Montreal for the Presidents Cup. You may remember the drama from the ‘23 Ryder Cup when Cantlay refused to wear it at the team event. Appears we won’t see any of that this week."

At the 2023 Ryder Cup, Cantlay didn't wear a Team USA cap in the prestigious tournament. According to rumors at the time, the American golfer didn't wear the hat as a sign of protest for not getting paid to compete in the event and this became a subject of controversy. However, Cantlay denied those reports and said the hats didn't fit him.

For the 2024 Presidents Cup, Patrick Cantlay wore a Team USA cap during the practice session at the Royal Montreal Golf Club.
