Peter Uihlein leads LIV Golfers atop the 2024 International Series England's leaderboard after day 3: "Nice to kind of build some momentum"

Peter Uihlein fired a 2-under 69 in the third round of the International Series in England to take a one-stroke lead after 54 holes. He's now in a strong position for his first win on the Asian Tour and first in more than 10 years.

Uihlein made five birdies in the third round but also had a bogey and a double bogey. He's currently at 12-under, holding a one-shot lead over Harold Varner III.

Reflecting on his performance, Uihlein described it as a bit up and down. He mentioned that although he hit a lot of greens, he made a double bogey on the par-4 third hole after missing the green.

"And then I missed technically four (greens) straight coming in, so that was fun," he said as per LIV Golf.

"But was able to salvage a little bit which was nice. So yeah, it was a bit of an up and down, made some nice putts at the end, missed some putts kind of in middle of the round, so it kind of offset each other.”

Peter Uihlein has four runner-up finishes on the LIV Golf circuit but has struggled to cross the final hurdle. His last win came three years ago on the Korn Ferry Tour.

"A win would be nice," he added. "It’s not been my best year since joining LIV, so it’s nice to kind of build some momentum with our final events coming up. And then I’m going to play a few more on The International Series after that, so it will put me in a good position which is nice."
