Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods - The Genesis Invitational - Round One

The PGA Tour’s 2023 Genesis Invitational is underway in Los Angeles. The designated event teed off at the Riviera Country Club on Thursday, February 16. Day 1 of the tournament ended with Max Homa and Keith Mitchell sharing the lead. Homa opened with a 7-under 64 to lead as event favorite Jon Rahm fell one back.

The event’s other big moments included host Tiger Woods’ three bogeys to end Day 1. The golfer went up against more than 40 of the world’s top 40 golfers and sat at T27 with Adam Scott, Xander Schauffele, and Will Zalatoris, among others. The golfers are now set to return to the greens on Friday with eyes set on the whopping $20 million prize purse on offer.
