PGA Tour amateur Blades Brown will not attend high school at Brentwood Academy. Instead, he has opted for online classes to easily manage his golf schedule.

Brown is one of the best amateur golfers in the US currently and is a three-time defending individual state champion in Tennessee. Additionally, he made his PGA Tour debut a couple of months ago.

According to Golfweek, Brown's mother Rhonda confirmed that he has chosen online classes. The 16-year-old rising star has several top amateur tournaments on his national schedule.

Last week, Brown was part of the US National Junior team that defeated Australia at an event held at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Next month, he will compete at the US Amateur at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota.

Blades Brown is currently ranked 10th in the American Junior Golf Association and 117th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. He has won the Division II-AA title three times. Last year, he helped Brentwood Academy win the state title after shooting 14-under 130 over two days, which equaled the state tournament's two-day scoring record.

Last year, Brown became the youngest medalist at the US Amateur, breaking Bobby Jones's record. He shot a 64 at Cherry Hills Country Club to tie for first in the tournament's stroke play portion. However, he exited the tournament in the round of 32.

Blades Brown made his PGA Tour debut at the Myrtle Beach Classic, which took place in May at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Brown was one of the two amateurs in the playing field for the Myrtle Beach Classic. He received the sponsor exemption for his impressive performance at the US Amateur.

Brown started with a 1-over 72 on Thursday but made it inside the cutline after firing 4-under 67 on the following day. He shot his best round on Saturday and carded a bogey-free 66. In the final round, he shot 2-under 69 to aggregate at 10-under-par 274 and tie for 26th.
