PGA Tour pro Billy Horschel reflects on his love for $1.1 Billion-worth soccer team

PGA Tour player Billy Horschel recently shared his love for his favourite soccer team West Ham United F.C. He also shared his experience about watching them live, how he fell in love with the team and how it's now a family affair.

Premier League USA shared the 37-year-old's video on X in which he's expressing his love for the $1.1 billion-worth soccer team. It captioned the post:

"For @BillyHo_Golf, his love for @WestHam_US has become a family affair"

Horschel said that he watches every West Ham game whenever he is not on the golf course. He said that he became a West Ham fan in 2006 and has fallen in love with them ever since. Talking about his first stadium experience watching the London club, he said:

"In 21, my wife and I came over to London for the first time. The pace of play live is so much faster. The sound of the ball you can hear from anywhere in the stadium when they strike it. Michail Antonio scored. It was everything I could have asked for. We came out victorious. West Ham's number nine with the finishing touch."

Billy Horschel is married to Brittany Horscel. They got married in 2010 and are parents of two daughters and a son. Talking about how watching West Ham has become a family affair, he said:

"If I'm home, I'm always watching with my little boy Axel. He's a West Ham supporter through and through. He loves him to death. I'll watch him if my girls are out. My two girls just sit down and watch, and my wife will as well."

Horschel recently competed in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. He failed to make the cut at the tournament. The tournament concluded last Sunday with Tyrrell Hatton winning the competition.

Billy Horschel calls West Ham's Jarrod Bowen an 'underrated player'

Billy Horschel recently reflected on his love for his favourite soccer team. In the video posted by Premier League USA, he also shared his favourite players and moments. The 37-year-old said that Jarrod Bowen was his favorite player, adding that the attacker was underrated.

"Jarrod Bowen's an unbelievable guy. He's a great player, underrated player in my opinion. (Lucas) Paqueta is fun to watch. (Mohammed) Kudus is unbelievable," he added.

Speaking about West Ham winning the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League, Horschel said:

"I've been fortunate enough to hang out with the team. They're just great guys, and they care a lot about West Ham. Seeing the West Ham team players get a trophy, every West Ham fan, that's probably their favorite memory over the last several decades for sure."

Billy Horschel has had an impressive 2024 season so far. In 23 starts on the PGA Tour, he has had seven top-10 finishes and 13 top-25 finishes. He won the 2024 Corales Puntacana Championship by two strokes over Wesley Bryan. He has made a total of $5,037,278 on the PGA Tour in the 2024 season.

He also won the BMW PGA Championship on DP World Tour last month, clinching the tournament in playoffs against Thriston Lawrence and Rory Mcllroy.
