Michael S. Kim recently got candid about the PGA Tour's Q-School. He took to X and shared about his experiences and the challenges he faced in the second stage of the Q-School.

The 2024 PGA Tour Q-School is currently underway with two stages of the competition completed. This week, Neal Shipley competed in the second stage of Q-School and failed to advance to the final stage despite earning low amateur honours at both the 2024 Masters Tournament and the US Open.

Shipley tied for 18th at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia and could make it to the final stage, as only the top 12 and tied from the course advanced. Speaking of the same, an X user wrote:

"Q school is hard: Neil Shipley made 8 of 10 cuts this year on the pga tour. Made cut at the Masters. T26 at the U.S. Open. And he’s probably (outside shot he could sneak in) going to miss at 2nd stage."

Michael S. Kim responded to this by sharing his experiences in the second stage of Q-school.

"One of the most important rounds of my career to this day is the final round of 2nd stage of q school. I was a few outside the number but played a really good final round in rainy conditions on the last day to make it on the number. Getting thru 2nd stage is more important than final stage in many ways," the 31-year-old said.

Michael S. Kim turned professional in December 2013 and initially competed on the Web.com Tour. He gained a PGA Tour card after finishing 13th on the 2015 Web.com Tour season money list.

The third and final stage of PGA Tour Q-school will be held next week at TPC Sawgrass and Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida from December 12 to 15.
