PGA Tour player Joel Dahmen offered fans Ryder Cup tickets in exchange for their help finalizing his foundation's logo. Earlier, Ryder Cup's ticket prices have come under scrutiny from fans for a considerable hike as compared to last year.

Not only the Ryder Cup tickets, but Dahmen also offered fans shoes, shades and clothing apparel. He took to X and wrote:

"Alright people, specifically graphic designers, I’m going to help you with Ryder Cup tickets (standby), but I need your help. Our foundation is starting a charity event coming up in about a month. Still haven’t solidified a logo."
"Make something awesome, I’ll send you a signed bucket hat, some @TRUElinkswear shoes, some sick @Knockaround shades and maybe some @TRAVISMATHEW swag too. Here is what I have so far- knock my sock off twitter! #JoelJam"

Dahmen had earlier called the Ryder Cup ticket prices 'insane' on X and said that he would try to 'pull some strings' to help the fans.

Joel Dahmen's post received several responses from fans. He praised their efforts and wrote in another post on X:

"Keep them coming…more like these. Bucket Hat. Fun. Golf."

A One-day pass for the Ryder Cup costs $749, which is almost four and five times that of the one-day passes for the Masters tournament ($140), the US Open ($150 - $200) and the Open Championship ($130 - $169) for next year. The prices are thrice that of the PGA Championship ($219 - $262) daily passes next year.

PGA of America justifies the prices of the 2025 Ryder Cup

The 2025 Ryder Cup will be held at Bethpage Black in New York. The 45th edition of the tournament will be held from 26 to 28 September 2025.

Last week, the biennial tournament announced the ticket prices for 2025. The one-day ticket prices for Friday, Sunday, and Saturday are $749. The prices for Tuesday and Wednesday are $255 while Thursday ticket prices cost $423. Further, to volunteer, one would have to pay $350.

The high prices saw criticism from all corners. Despite the higher prices, PGA Championship Director Bryan Karns justified them and said, via SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio:

“I mean, we view ourselves as a tier 1 event that's on par with the World Series or with an NBA Finals Game 7. I mean, that was a part of it, and so again, when we look at pricing, we are able to tap into data from all these different venues. Again, our partner Delaware North they operate the Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics. They operate Lambeau Field. ..."
"There are people who have the Ryder Cup on their bucket list in the same way someone would have, you know, a Yankees, opening game of the World Series on their bucket list, " he added.

Earlier, PGA Tour player-turned-analyst Smylie Kaufman also criticized the high prices of Ryder Cup tickets. He said that if it was up to him, he'd have capped the price to $300. The ticket prices in the 2021 Ryder Cup were less than half that of 2025.
