PGA Tour pro shares strong message after slipping out of the Black Desert Championship cutline

Michael Kim had another disappointing week on the PGA Tour as he missed the cut at the Black Desert Championship. Following his second round, the golfer sent a strong message to his fans.

On Friday, October 11, Kim carded 3-under 68 in the opening round of the Black Desert Championship. The start was good, but he couldn’t replicate that performance the following day, posting an even-par 71. Aggregating at 3-under, he was two strokes behind the projected cutline.

After the second day's play, Kim took to X to motivate himself following another missed cut.

"All this pain will be worth it when I break thru… gotta keep climbing," he wrote.

The 31-year-old golfer has had a tough season so far, missing 12 cuts in 25 starts. With just one top-10 finish this season, he finished 117th in the FedEx Cup. The challenges continued into the FedEx Fall season, where he missed the cut in all three events played so far and is currently standing at 125th.

For the uninitiated, only the top 125 players after the Fall season will retain their cards for the next season.

Stephan Jaeger takes a one-shot lead at the Black Desert Championship

Stephan Jaeger fired a low 8-under 63 in the second round of the Black Desert Championship to take a one-shot lead after 36 holes. He picked up nine birdies and bogeyed one hole on the second day at the Black Desert Golf Course.

Adam Svensson, who shot a career-low 60 on Thursday, fired a 69 and aggregated at 13-under after two rounds. He is tied for second with Ben Kohles, who carded a 64.

Matt McCarty, who claimed a Korn Ferry Tour card, was 12-under but still had three holes left in the second round. He is tied with Harris English, Henrik Norlander, and Sam Ryder.
